Share Your Work With A Live Audience

As Was Written exists to showcase and celebrate the quality writer. The live shows feature writers, musicians and comedians presenting their original work on stage. We are looking to fill two spots in the next show in Old Town Alexandria this Fall. We expect a sold out crowd of 140.

Writers selected for the two remaining spots in the lineup will have approximately 10 minutes on stage to read or recite a piece(s).

Requirements
All work must be original. No experience is necessary. We believe that if you have the talent, you deserve an opportunity. There is no pay, but if you have books or cds you can sell them at our merch table.

How To Apply
To apply, send a sample of your work (MS Word or PDF), or a link to a video of you performing, to submissions@aswaswritten.com. Tell us about yourself in your e-mail.
